Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well. We're nearing the end of my backlog being fully uploaded to Newgrounds, and I can't be more thankful of all the comments you guys have been sending! While eventually I won't be daily uploading, I do hope to try to put stuff on here pretty regularly.
Before that tho, I do have a couple things I want to address.
TL;DR - While my earlier content is focused primarily on Minecraft animations, I'm moving towards a more anime/stylized look. Just wanted to clarify to prevent confusion. Also I'm opening up my Deviantart account again to post my 3D renders there, but would any of you guys care to see it here too or not really?
#1: My style and content choice
As you might have noticed, a lot of my earlier content was mainly Minecraft-related. While I do still enjoy the game and still am friends with many members of the community, I am slowly shifting away from Minecraft animations as a whole, with my newer content reflecting the style I'm wanting to target. While I don't plan to make MInecraft animations anymore, I do want to at least keep them up here since that phase was so much of my history as an animator, and it got me to where I am today.
However, my plans with the more anime stylized look is to try to not only explore animating other games, but also as an opportunity to learn new skills such as character modelling. I want to do more animations with original characters, which is probably why I leaned on MC animation for so long. It's much easier to tell stories using different characters without needing different models. However, now that I'm focusing more on a stylized look, I am planning to dive into character modelling so I can eventually create my own original characters to animate here. I noticed while Newgrounds is friendly towards parody content, it is more encouraging of original work, so I want to move more in that direction one way or another.
#2: Potentially uploading renders
One other thing I do aside from animation is I make 3D renders. However, I made a unique observation in my short time on this platform. While this platform is friendly to all art forms, it does seem to heavily favor 2D art and animation in general due to its history. I have nothing against that and I understand it's purely due to a population bias. However having said that, would you guys care to see 3D renders on here at all? I am planning to boot up my Deviantart account as well to post my renders there, but I wanted to know if you guys would care to see that too? Let me know in the comments.
Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you all have a great evening!
